There are days when everything feels like evidence against you. You made a mistake. You fell short. You did not show up the way you wanted to. And slowly, a narrative begins to take shape: I am failing. I am not enough. I should be better than this.
But it is worth pausing to ask: is that what God is saying? Because often, the voice we are listening to is not His, but our own fear, pressure, or expectation. Scripture reminds us clearly in Romans 8:1 that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. That means that even in failure, even in inconsistency, even in weakness, God’s posture toward you remains one of grace. And grace does something powerful. It gives you permission to begin again—not from shame, but from truth.
Beginning again does not require a grand gesture. It might look like returning to a habit you abandoned, sending a message you have been avoiding, or picking up something you put down. Small steps, taken honestly and consistently, are how life is rebuilt. And each time you begin again, you are not starting from nothing. You are starting from grace.
Today’s Practice
Identify one thing you have been avoiding because you felt you did not deserve to move forward yet. Bring it to God and say: Thank You for Your grace. I begin again. Then take one small step.
